A medieval tombstone as a Pepper's ghost hologram

A 3D reproduction of a medieval stećak tombstone, shown as a floating Pepper's ghost hologram.

Stećci are medieval tombstones found across Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro, and have been on UNESCO's World Heritage List since 2016.

We made a detailed 3D model of one and prepared it for a Pepper's ghost display, the old theatre trick where an image reflected in angled glass seems to float in the room. The model was built from photogrammetry and rendered in Unreal Engine.
