Owens, Houška & partners

A fast, multilingual website for a Zagreb law firm

Visit site

A custom website in three languages for a Zagreb law firm, replacing an old WordPress site with a fast static build that needs no maintenance.

Owens, Houška & partners is a law firm in Zagreb. Their old WordPress site was slow and dated, and it needed constant updates just to stay safe.

We designed and built a new site in Croatian, English and German, with sections for the firm, its team, practice areas, news, careers and contact. The new design launched in 2021. We've since moved it to a fully static Astro build, edited through Decap CMS.

What changed

  • Speed. Every page is pre-built static HTML, so the site is dramatically faster.
  • Editing. The firm updates news, team members and practice areas itself in Decap CMS, a full CMS that saves every change to the site's Git repository and rebuilds the site.
  • Upkeep. No plugins, no security updates, no server to pay for or maintain, and no CMS subscription.
